The process
COLLECT sits between the buyer and the seller on every transaction. The money is held, the item is inspected, and only then does either side get what they came for.
Photographs, grading details, and certification numbers are captured at listing time.
Buy Now or an accepted offer. Payment is authorized and held — the seller is not paid yet.
The item goes to the COLLECT authentication centre, never directly to the buyer.
Our authentication team inspects the item, typically within 3 business days of arrival.
Payment is captured, the item is sealed, photographed, and dispatched with tracking.
The payout is scheduled on a pass and released once the buyer receives the item.
Funds are authorized at checkout and captured only after a pass.
If an item fails, the buyer is refunded in full, fees included.
Seller to authentication, then authentication to buyer.
